Do you ever wonder how everyone else does it? There’s a great poll lurking around the interewebz on LinkedIn that asks “How do you use social media to help your business?”
The results so far have been interesting, as have the comments. Overwhelmingly “brand awareness” has won out over making sales and customer engagement.
The following is a comment I made on LinkedIn:
I’d argue to say that it’s a combination of all of the above.
Interesting to see the poll results lean so much towards brand awareness. It depends on what type of product/business you have. Is there already lots of buzz about your business? Then it’s customer engagement/brand awareness. If you’re just going to market or launching a new product it certainly makes sense that brand awareness tops your list.
Another insight from the poll was the age bracket. By far and away those above 30 were most active participants and 2 to 1 Male. Is that a target market for your brand?
Add you vote to the poll below to see the updated results on LinkedIn. Don’t forget to leave a comment, would love to hear how you’re using social media.
